When fine modeling, it is sometimes necessary to remove parts from sprues before they can be painted. However, you still need to ensure that the detail is done cleanly without losing detail through overlapping. That is the answer. A small area is left unpainted as it is covered with a clamp. But a smear of diluted paint with an art brush will fix that. And if you have multiple parts, they will be the same color at the gate. In fact, you can clip the entire sprue into this holder and paint at once. Good buy. Five stars.
