My husband received this to paint a model. Basically he went with the clips but we were confused that the chopsticks don't stay in the bowl permanently. Basically, if you put chopsticks in a tray and hold it upside down, they'll all fall out. With any kind of tedious work, you can see how this can be a problem.

When fine modeling, it is sometimes necessary to remove parts from sprues before they can be painted. However, you still need to ensure that the detail is done cleanly without losing detail through overlapping. That is the answer. A small area is left unpainted as it is covered with a clamp. But a smear of diluted paint with an art brush will fix that. And if you have multiple parts, they will be the same color at the gate.
