Turn the steering wheel with one finger against both hands. I recommend this control box. And for reasons I won't go into detail, I had to install it on a boat in the water. I do not recommend this. I have everything fitted ie hydraulic cylinders on the engine, hoses stretched as I pulled the cables and the dash is cut out for the steering wheel. So I stand in the middle of my boat and screw the choke in the back of the rudder. I figured it would be easier than installing them after the steering wheel is bolted to the dash. I throw one of the fittings, it bounces off the dash and does a triple axis right over the ship's side and into the lake. Talk about anger. So I grab my scuba gear and go downstairs to try and find him. In a Texas lake. Spent an hour and 1000 pounds of air searching. Vain. So I send a message to the seller telling them what happened and asking to buy a replacement. I also asked about the price of compression fittings for shortening the hoses. They sent me a replacement fitting and 2 compression fittings free of charge. And they paid FedEx for express shipping. It didn't cost me anything. I don't write product reviews. I think this is the second or third in the last 10 years. But these guys did everything to help me. I can't say enough about their customer service. And so far it works great. I hope this helps someone in making a decision. Good product, great customer service. I highly recommend.
