This product is of good quality (hence it deserves 5 stars) but it is not an 18 gauge nail tool or finishing nail. I wanted to replace my dad's antique nail hammer which is the same design but NOT the same object - not even close. This is large in the hand and the channel is also quite wide. I'll be keeping this tool, but to be honest I don't think it's really needed for the size of nail it drives into unless you need to get into some awkwardly deep spaces (like the J- channel they say) . I'm writing this review specifically to draw attention to this issue as I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't want to buy a nail gun from time to time to do some chores around the house and prefers a hammer. Method based on Brad Pusher's style. Where's that tool for 18 gauge and finishing nails? I want to know!
