Decided to try this portable air conditioner as a temporary solution until we got the mini splits installed. It arrived, we plugged it in, it worked great until the next day we noticed the drain plug was cracked. How did we discover it? The carpet in our bedroom got wet within five feet of the unit. When I registered the device, I emailed the company. . . Photos etc with a promise of a reply within 48 hours. Seven days have now passed. Not a word, not an email, nothing. Now the device works great, but we've set it to leak into the baking sheet that we clean every day. It's funny. As for the device itself, I only have the lowest setting - 65F. This may be the standard for all portable devices and the room is cool at night, but I need it cooler! This is a first world problem. Now I'm just waiting for news from the company about the damage. I'll see her today, so we'll see.
