Review on πŸ”Œ Black PowerCore Filter Enclosed Air Intake System by Volant - 161576 by Brent Shaeffer

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Too many fit issues and not enough quality control. I wanted it to be great.

Not happy with this purchase - After removing the stock intake and installing the flounce we found that the adapter used to attach the intake pipe to the throttle body is too small. He tried everything to tighten it - he heated it (to expand the rubber), used very hard thin plastic tools to clamp the rubber around the tube, nothing helped. The pipe is 4β€³ and the rubber is exactly 4β€³ wide, making it almost impossible to fit a rubber reducer TO a 4β€³ inlet pipe. The throttle body is 3 1/2" wide and the gear size is 3 3/8". Building the transmission around the throttle body is even more difficult. We ended up sending it back and using something else. We tried installing it on a 2014 Durango RT. didn't fully cover the factory position, the L bracket that was supposed to attach to the brake fluid reservoir (I may be wrong what the plug is for, I don't remember here) was too big so we had to flip it. It wouldn't be such a big problem if everything else worked. Very disappointed with the Volant as I had the same air intake for my 2005 Dodge Magnum RT and it was amazing. Now I don't buy anything that bears the name Volant.
