I think it's a great idea because you should definitely keep it handy and stay right where you put it so you can find it in the dark. My problem is that the air vents in my car don't work properly when this is put in. (I have 2005 and 2015 Forester). Luckily, they also have a Plus model that plugs into a cigarette lighter/socket. It is handy and has two USB ports. I give plus five stars
