I bought this unit about a year ago to replace an OEM charger that is slow charging my Samsung Note 10.1 tablet (2013 model). I've been using it exclusively since I received it and it's still working great. The transformer body heats up a little during charging, but not too much, and cools down quickly after charging is complete. I can't say the overall charge time is "much" shorter than the original charger when it was new. maybe 15 minutes less than the total loading time. BUT. It charges just as efficiently both when I'm using the device and when it's on standby. That way I can keep streaming videos or using the Kindle app and the battery keeps charging. A highly recommended product.
