Review on 🎡 Jensen JTA-222 3-Speed Turntable with Portable Case: A Perfect Blend of Style and Functionality by Mike Campbell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very important. Nothing for real audiophiles.

I like playing on old shellac from the 78s. Instead of using one of my Victrolas with a steel needle, I decided to try this plug-in model with a cartridge. Recording should be easier. This block fills the bill very well. A lot of money for money, very small and light, takes up little space but fits 10" and 12" vinyl records. The sound is good for mono. The turntable has an automatic start and stop. You must place the needle on the record by hand, not with an auto lifter. But it's not a problem. FM radio works quite well. An FM antenna is connected to it. I can't get anything on the AM band, but I have it in my basement. The AM antenna is not visible. Good price but not for real music lovers. The sound quality is excellent for my old Shellac 78, I haven't tried vinyl yet. I have a better player for that. I bought this in the basement next to my record collection for convenience and it has a 78rpm option.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • old

It works, but I can't recommend it.
