Review on BeaverCraft Carving Whittling Roughing Beginners by Wendy Rodriguez

At first this knife seemed huge, but I soon fell in love with it. It feels good in my hand, but I think I need to wrap something around the handle to make it more stable in my hand. I'm sure it's just me. Please do yourself a favor and buy basswood wood to start carving. This knife, while razor sharp, taught me that plain old SPF wood is NOT suitable. I managed to watch Doug Linker's YouTube video teaching me how to carve the Moravian Star and it turned out great even though I used fir! Overall a great knife. I just got a "detail" -Ordered knife from BeaverCraft to make it easier for me to carve smaller details. I would ignore other people's comments here if I were you. My knife arrived in perfect condition. Common sense dictates that a knife should be stored in low humidity and in its sheath. Have fun carving! Think positive! And put on your gloves!
