When they arrived one of them was split on the side. I sent back and received another package which was in excellent condition. I've filled them with smoothies for after school snacks for my 2, 5, and 8 year olds. The fact that the lids are attached makes it easy to find and attach the top. (If they weren't appropriate, I think they'd be lost by now!) They work great with smoothies. I put them upright in the freezer so they don't spill. Luckily, they don't affect the taste. My 2 and 5 year olds have trouble using them because they don't do push ups very easily. They have to melt a bit first and I have to flex the bottom back and forth to loosen it before the kids can lift the pop. Another reason I only gave it 3 stars is that it's very difficult to clean when you use it for smoothies. The little blueberry specks won't appear unless you use a bottle brush and you really need a small brush to get into the crack at the base of the bang. But overall they do their job. If you're willing to do an extra cleaning, that's no problem.
