This vacuum cleaner works great but when you add the blade attachment it was designed for you get even better results. The cleaner is good for common green/brown algae that usually appear on glass. I have lots of (purple) coral algae stains on the glass of my biocube and the blade is the only thing I've found to scrape it off hard enough not to get my hand wet. Be careful of the direction you push the blade. If your glass is curved like mine, make sure you follow the curve so you don't scratch the glass.
