My Koi LOVE them! They're crazy about them. So much so that I used up the entire 2 pound sack in just over a week. This snack is high in protein (56%) and high in fat (27%). They are an excellent supplement for Koi after spawning to replenish mucous membrane and regain some much needed weight. Please note that this product should not be used as the main food for koi (or any other animal) but should be added to a varied diet consisting of proper koi pellets with essential vitamins and minerals, fruits (melons, oranges), vegetables (salad, cabbage). ) and other high-quality treats like dried shrimp, dried soldier worms, and mealworms. I bought other brands and found that 1/3 of the dolls on offer from another popular brand were in pieces. This brand has a lot less shards at the bottom of the bag. However, I will use bug dust and mix it with gelatin along with shrimp dust, ground spirulina and pellets, freeze and feed the koi. This makes a good homemade frozen koi food. Just one thing AGAINST: As fast as they're selling, I wish they were a little more affordable. $5 a pound seems fairer than $10.50 a pound. But I will continue to buy this product anyway.
