I have used many food scales over the years. This is my favorite but it has some disadvantages compared to other scales. I bought it specifically for the backlight. Other dials would be difficult to read where I held them due to low light and/or glare. This is not a problem. It's worth it. It's fast and accurate, which I can say about most (but unfortunately not all) scales I've owned. They don't beep. For me this is a minus. For others, it's probably a plus. I use the scale with every meal, so several times a day. I don't always look at it, and knowing that a keypress was registered without looking would be nice. The reason for deducting a star is the sensitivity of the button. Buttons don't register clicks when I think they should. I often have to press the button multiple times for it to be accepted. Very annoying.
