Terrible warranty

Bought this microwave 8 months ago. There are only two in my family. Beginning with the first week, the heating cycle was paused and all eights were displayed on the display screen. I've found that if I turn off the device, wait a few seconds and turn it back on, it reboots and works. However, it only got worse. Finally, less than six months later, we had serious operational problems. We could only use it for popcorn or to heat water. Two months later, he refuses to perform any functions for more than 3 seconds. He just stops. Then the real nightmare began: trying to deal with Panasonic. On first contact they take your complaint and say another department will get back to you within 24-48 hours. It never happened. A full five days later I called Panasonic again and they told me they didn't have a service technician within 40 miles. They will contact me when they have options. Three days later I contacted them again and asked them to take this unit and replace it as it is less than 9 months old and clearly defective. My husband and I are old and disabled. In the end, they agreed to take over the apartment five days ago. So far this microwave sits on the counter doing nothing. What disgusting service from Panasonic. This is the second week we've been trying to find a fix for this microwave that refuses to work. We're having a hard time not having a microwave, and we can't get anyone at Panasonic to care. I recommend anyone thinking about buying this device to make sure they are prepared for disappointment and deprivation if they end up with a lemon like we did. Panasonic promises solutions but has not yet delivered, and has been for two weeks. Save yourself money and fret. Do not buy this device.
