My father had a metal funnel with thin screens that held a liter - we used it mainly to pour from a canister into our tractor when we weren't in the tractor shed. It was great, a bit small but sturdy, I think my brother still has it in the yard. I've been looking for this ever since and after seeing it on Revain I had to try it. It's soft plastic but the screen is amazing. Pros: Lightweight, screen captures debris, fits most tank openings on my gear. Cons: Plastic - it can break very easily in cool and cold weather. But in the heat it's ok. The screen is difficult to clean. Almost backwash! I smack it upside down and the wet collection flies to the sink - then the laundry towel on my index finger can pull that collection out most of the time. I hope it's durable, but as long as I have a source I'll stock up on these. I already have 6 liters - a bit too big for my use and the strainer filters too much - I had to dump the denatured alcohol from the funnel back into the bin, empty the strainer and then try to filter a few more liters. . But isn't that the goal of a damn good screen? Are you cleaning the solvent you want to recycle or cleaning the fuel you want to burn clean? Anyway, they are amazing and I'll be getting a few of each size now. If you don't like the strainer you can use a hacksaw to cut the last 1/8 inch off the spout and you have a regular funnel well worth the price!
