This is the best fermentation crock out there!

I've tried using mason jars for fermenting and they work ok, but I've read into traditional Chinese fermentation crocks and this is exactly it. Put the weights on top of whatever fruit/vegetable/meat is fermenting and then close the lid. Fill the small space on the lid with water to seal it.I could't ask for a better jar. I'd highly recommend it!
