All the screws supplied were the same length and matched the description in the instructions for the shorter screws. However, you would not screw the hinges and handle to the frame. I believe that the sockets that the screws go into weren't drilled deep enough and the screws didn't come out. Not wanting to go to the store looking for the right size metric screws, I decided to use three #6 flat washers which I ended up with over four screw heads as shown in the picture. Then they would all be late. The gate is perfect for us to keep a new puppy in the kitchen. It will not fit between the bars (2" spacing) or under (2.5" spacing). However, the distance between the left and right rungs and the wall will depend on the width of your facility and may be enough for a puppy to crawl through. Our pup figured out how to get through right away, but we found a temporary way to block the hole until she's older.
