Review on SYB Radiation Protection Midnight Microwave by Julio Fernandez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Tested works well for cooling pads and external fans

The Wi-Fi router is under our TV, only 3-4.5m from us, so I decided to use the Checking RF levels about 3m ahead using my TriField TF2. It regularly showed between 0.3 and 1.2 mW/m2 with intermittent periods of rest. I can't even believe this is considered normal. I just tried this shield by placing it on a shelf vertically in front of the router and when I checked the levels the results varied by about 1/5. In quiet periods it was almost 0, while the loudest I've seen (briefly) was just over 0.2 mW/m2. I still get great Wi-Fi coverage while right in the way of this sign. You don't need this energy level to get good reception at 20 feet. It doesn't affect anything else in the house either, because the line of sight from where I queued is pointing to our kitchen, which isn't far away. The rest of the rooms through the walls behind and to the side. I think it's a great idea to include a radiant source to reduce the amount of energy being transmitted through your home. This stuff is awful, and it's been proven time and time again by numerous studies. There is no need to broadcast at levels 10 to 15 times higher than what is considered "safe", at least by European standards. As a side note, if you have an iPhone and are using Siri, when you press the button you activate Siri or say "Hey Siri" for the duration of the listening/interaction. Your phone emits a radio frequency at about 100 times the "safe level". I'm not exactly sure why, other than the fact that Siri is a synchronous connection when used, but it still seems pretty ridiculous.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
