Review on Dorman H621173 Brake Hose by James Hardin

The part is a direct replacement that I used on my 2002 VW Jetta GLI and for the price it was great. This part will set you back about $53 wherever you buy it, and nobody stocks it. With a 2-day wait, there's no point ordering a part from a dealer or local auto parts store when you can get the same part in the same 2 days for $20 less. Now the part itself worked wonderfully. It was pre-bent to fit perfectly where it needed to be with very small adjustments needed to get it where it needed to be. The only thing I didn't like about this part is that the metal line part was made out of bare steel versus the plated steel you get with the OEM line. The banjo bolt is also missing a copper washer, but in the two weeks I've installed this part there have been no leaks at all. Overall I would give this product 4 stars because it fits perfectly and works perfectly, but it could be even better.
