Review on 🚴 Maximize Performance with the Halo Headband Cycling Sweatband Cap by Josh Lewis

Nice hat, but maybe not for really hot times

Summers here in central Texas are so hot I have to wait about 90 minutes before sunset to ride. I'm in the sun most of my way home so I grabbed this hat. Basically, the lid does everything I can expect from it. Comfortable, well-made, it is made of a mesh material that ensures good ventilation and the peak of the cap protects the eyes well from the sun. Having said that, my first experience with a cap wasn't entirely positive. I left the house at around 7:00 p.m. with a temperature of 97 degrees, which dropped to about 93 degrees by sunset. This evening I drove with starting temperatures over 100 degrees without any problems. However, on this cap-on ride, I felt the effects of the heat for about 3/4 of the ride. My heart rate was elevated for the amount of effort I was putting in. Maybe there were physical issues that day, but your head gives off a lot of heat, so I think the lid was interfering with the cooling process. I don't know exactly why I got so hot that day because of the hat, but when I was cycling home after completing the route, I took my hat off to see how big the difference was and wasn't wearing a hat. the lid became noticeably colder. I have now ordered a new helmet with a visor. I think a helmet with a visor is the best solution for very hot days. I find the hat to be a good product and does everything you would expect it to do, but wearing it on very hot days can be a bit difficult. too much of.
