I saw another review that claimed this chain does not include the main link but does. it's definitely. Maybe they were missing or fell out of the box/bag or something. The chain itself is fantastic - just lube it up! I oil it before almost every ride. That's pretty much what you have to do with these O/X-free ring chains, but with that comes the weight savings and a bit more power (if you're on a lower-powered bike), so I think the trade-off is worth it if you drive races or something.
