old MacBook. This device worked great to switch cables between two laptops more easily. Unfortunately, after nine months, it just stopped working. It will still provide power, but that's about it. I contacted customer service and apparently it has a two year warranty. While I'm not thrilled that I have a plastic stone at the moment, their tech support seems decent and I'll keep an eye on it depending on how the replacement goes. UPDATE July 2021: They sent me a replacement. and continues to work perfectly. So overall I was very satisfied. However, I recently upgraded one of my laptops to a 16 inch MBP. This new laptop comes with a 96W adapter and the Elgato dock only puts out 85W. Bottom line, my laptop is constantly in "Not Charging Status" even when connected to the network. However, the 16-inch MBP is an exception. 85W is good for all other models so that should be fine unless they release a new M-series MBP which consumes a lot of power.
