Review on PEARL IZUMI Elevate Guard Black by Nelson Calafell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

You never take them off.

I used to have Fox knee pads and chin guards. They weren't meant to be on your feet all day as they had straps that you could just unbuckle without taking anything off and put them back on when you went down. They offered great protection but the main problem was that they kept slipping off while riding. Basically, I bought this beaded Izumi to solve this problem, sacrificing a bit of a chin guard. They are amazing! I was afraid they would be so tight that I would find them uncomfortable, or worse, that I would have the same problem of slipping off again. I have to mention one thing, however: due to the construction, you have to take off your shoes, which is extremely cumbersome when you are out and about. They stay on you all day. Surprisingly, this is less of an inconvenience than anything else. They are so comfortable that you forget you're wearing them. Others were so annoying that I didn't use them or only half used them. These protect me all the time, so I think they protect me better. Oh, and they look really cool.
