Description of PEARL IZUMI Elevate Guard Black

Medium weight pads for Enduro and Trail riding with D3O viscoelastic LP1 pads offer CE level 1 protection in lightweight, breathable forms. Cordura 4-way stretch woven materials provide durability without restriction or extra weight. Mesh fabric with a knee cutout is used back of leg for breathability and to eliminate bunching behind the knee when pedaling. Longer knee warmer inspired design with wide elastic grippers and silicone interior print keeps pads in place. Offers a more forgiving fit than currently available pad designs.

Very convenient! Best in Cycling

I have tried other cycling knee pads and they either slip or are uncomfortable to wear. They stay in place and are really comfortable. I can ride them uphill and don't feel the need to take them off at the end of the ride. I highly recommend!

Good knee pads for sports

These are good knee pads. I like that they are longer than my leg. However, they are hot and not the best for kicking, I have to say. Of course, which pads are good for climbing uphill, to be honest, right? I have found that these pads fall off a bit when pedaling, even if the size is right. I also don't like the below-knee cut-out, which is annoying if not in the perfect spot. Generally a good set of pads if you can find them on sale.

You never take them off.

I used to have Fox knee pads and chin guards. They weren't meant to be on your feet all day as they had straps that you could just unbuckle without taking anything off and put them back on when you went down. They offered great protection but the main problem was that they kept slipping off while riding. Basically, I bought this beaded Izumi to solve this problem, sacrificing a bit of a chin guard. They are amazing! I was afraid they would be so tight that I would find them uncomfortable, or…
