Review on Manfrotto Element Traveller Aluminum 5 Section by Jason King

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The tripod itself is good, not a fan of the normal ball head.

The tripod itself is good, I don't like the ball head, replaced it with Benro IB0. The tripod is light and small and easily holds my Canon 5D MIII on battery and any lens I attach, including my Tamron 70-200. The ball head moves well, but the Arca-Swiss mount is problematic. The hex screw that holds the mount on the ball is raised higher to prevent the camera from slipping out easily. You must unscrew the mount latch to remove the camera. This defeats the purpose of the Arca Swiss mount, which is to easily switch from portrait to landscape mode. The Benro IB0 is about the same size as the stock head, so it fits in a pocket closed.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Not sure
