I have been using this product for many years and it works great for my small aquarium. I just fill a 5 gallon bucket with the same temperature as the water in the tank and add a cup. For my large tank I fill it up with python without spilling anything and pour the hooks straight into the faucet and I add api to the tank as water comes in. I found that it took a full minute to fill a 5 gallon bucket, so as long as the water is flowing into the tank I keep track of the timer and add a cup every minute, which is a bit excessive, but is safer then sorry because sometimes extra chlorine is added to the water during water purification. A small downside is that it fogs up the water for about a day, but maybe that's because I add more than I need, but it still does the job, it's cheap and readily available.
