I'm reducing my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars. The switch periodically interrupts the signal for a split second. It's not enough to interfere with typing or mouse pointer movement, but it's enough to thwart many tasks. This affects anything that requires you to hold down a key, but mouse click-and-hold is the most noticeable. For example, dragging a window or selecting text. It's also a big problem when trying to edit photos. This sometimes causes a single click to be read as a double click. And in Zoom meetings where holding the spacebar mutes the sound temporarily, I've noticed that the unmute icon flashes while I'm physically holding the spacebar. If I bypass the switch and connect directly to my hub, the problems go away. I use the same monitor for desktop and laptop. It has a built in 4 port USB hub and I just needed an easy way to switch connected devices between workstations. This is accomplished with minimal clutter. The blue LEDs that indicate which side is active are thankfully discreet. Even in a darkened room, they won't distract or hurt your eyes. This switch has a function that makes the last powered on device active. So when I use my desktop and open the lid of my laptop, it switches to the laptop even though the desktop is still running. I think that's an odd design choice. But since I usually only use one workstation at a time, that's ok.
