Installed with extra quiet baffles on my 18 Iron 883. Mufflers are really loud even with quiet baffles compared to the standard. The sound is really deep and loud and wakes up the engine. Performance is better without sacrificing bass due to the added back pressure with quiet baffles. No popping when decelerating etc. I also use a K&N heavy duty filter element in a stock air cleaner. Excellent performance and sound. With this setup, no FP3 tuner is needed at all. Tried to install silent baffles with grease without removing insulation. There's no way he'll kick in without these slip-ons. As others have said, I had to unroll the plastic to cut and remove about 6 inches of insulation and re-wrap it with plastic wrap and additional zip ties. After that, went effortlessly.
