I installed them on my 2016 Iron 883 in about an hour and a half which is good as I have no bike experience. My friend did it in about 45 minutes but he has more experience than me. They look good and sound great, I left the baffles on and they are loud enough. My bike finally sounds like a Harley and not like an import bike. I have bounced back and forth on these tubes or recordings and am not at all disappointed with my choice.

They're damn loud. I wasn't a fan of loud exhaust, so the first few times I was a little confused by the volume. I've gotten over it now. Pipes are very easy to install. Just make sure you use a new pair of clamps to attach the pads to the tubes. I'm reusing old ones and had a leaking exhaust. Replaced clamps for backup. Vance and Hynes have always been favorites on most of my bikes. They were excellent quality, looked great and sounded great. The only issue I have is that one of the outer black heat shields had a broken spot where the brackets attach to hold them in place. Installed with extra quiet baffles on my 18 Iron 883. Mufflers are really loud even with quiet baffles compared to the standard. The sound is really deep and loud and wakes up the engine. Performance is better without sacrificing bass due to the added back pressure with quiet baffles. No popping when decelerating etc. I also use a K&N heavy duty filter element in a stock air cleaner. If you hesitate to get dressed and think you need a full stage for a kid, you're wrong. These things are absolutely amazing. Very easy to install, the only thing I would suggest is to leave the clamps loose when you put everything on so it's easier to just put the heat shield on the pipes. Unlike the picture, there is no chrome protruding behind the heat shield at the rear. Which I don't mind, I would still have preferred the all black look, but there's no way they would go with protruding…

The tubes arrived very quickly (over a week faster). Installation was pretty easy even for a beginner with bike mods; A couple of wrenches and the same patience for old clamps was all I needed. The finish looks great on my 2015 Harley Iron 883 and matches the engine and stock air box trim perfectly. Great exhaust! Sounds great and would be easy to install if it came with the required gaskets! Nowhere in the description does it say that new muffler gaskets are needed! Had to go to HD for new gaskets, not expensive but not the point!
