I had rancho shocks and broke down once on a 7000. I tried to contact the seller and the manufacturer, but was unsuccessful in getting a warranty on the shock absorbers. The 7000 were discontinued and should be switched. So the warranty was voided because the seller said I should pay for the 9000s and send them the 7000s and then they would decide what would be covered by the warranty. Guaranteed to put the bad taste in your mouth. I got a Bilstein 5100 based on a search for the best shock absorbers for a car. Bilsteins were #1 and Ranco 9000s were #2. Bilsteins were easier to install because they came with boots pre-installed. I towed my RV last weekend and the previous weekend had gravel mountain roads and snow. yes end of May! The ride is great on both the freeway and gravel/snow roads. I also reported this to my brother in law. He also has a heavy diesel engine that overcomes many mountain roads with a load. He also had a ranch flop. Definitely recommend this shock!
