Update: The seller sent me a new mop free of charge within a few days of my first review. I've updated my overall rating to reflect the quality of customer service and because this broom works fine on my hardwood floors as long as it works. As we are fortunate to have our house professionally cleaned on a regular basis I have only used this mop for quick/deep cleaning of our floors since we had a puppy and started potty training - when it arrived the labeling made it clear that Should this not be the case Load the mop when using - I followed that instruction - we had maybe 10 uses before the handle broke when I went to get it to use today. Unfortunately it is now completely broken / won't even turn on. Spend $10-$20 more for a mop that isn't that cheaply made.
