These wedges worked great. Make sure you drill the holes deep enough. I made the mistake of only drilling them about 3 inches the first time to allow the splines to fit. It did not work. You will need to drill holes about 5 inches deep to allow the wedge to be hammered behind the wedges or the wedge will hit the bottom of the hole and not work properly. Once I understood that, the stone broke easily. The steel was strong and didn't bend, the strips held, remember you didn't hit them, just tap one at a time. It is very important to distribute the hammer blows evenly over the wedges, otherwise the boulder will simply splinter. Good product!
