5/23/21: GPS received. As another person reported, the new GPS golf navigator does not fully charge. I calculated 16 hours. It rose to 78% within a few hours. The charge did not increase even after a few hours. I disconnected and reconnected the charger and then it reported 84% and is now oscillating between that and 81% charge. I'll see how it goes tomorrow. The keys also seem sticky. I will update after taking it to the course. So far I'm disappointed. 5/24: I used it while gaming. The power meter fell by one bar after the 4th hole. The GPS worked well throughout the loop. Compared to my dying TomTom, the Golf Pad on my phone, and a friend's Garmin, the mileage was 5-10 yards short on multiple holes. The automatic advance worked well. It turned out that he regularly (perhaps every 15-30 seconds) updates the footage, and not almost constantly. It was noticeable at times. I had to search multiple times to get the final footage. Maybe that saves battery power. I didn't find any hazard warnings on some holes either. I don't have enough experience with this to know if it's a rare or common missing data item. The time will show. I will update in a few days and decide if I will return/exchange for a new one. I have not received a reply from the manufacturer. The indicator showed that it was charging all the time. I used it for another round today. The power gauge went down 1 division to the tee of the 3rd hole and was almost empty when we left the car park - less than 3 hours of use - playing fast. I also noticed that many of the holes had no hazard warnings. I let it fully discharge before charging it again. This can cause the battery to reset. If not, I will return the device to Revain. Still nothing from the manufacturer. Only charged up to 81%. I took the course today (and the older one that hasn't returned yet). The replacement block is terrible. The forward and backward buttons do not work. I push, I push, I hold and nothing. I've restarted the device several times, but these buttons still don't work. They started us on the 10th hole so that was a really noticeable problem. I'll send it back soon. Such a shame. They appear to be well designed, but the manufacturing and quality control kill them. I don't know what else to say. 6/7/21: I sent back the defective replacement and kept the original. I took another poster's suggestion and now unplug the device once it hits 81% for a while, which is the max power. Interestingly, at least in the middle of a round of golf, the device reports a full charge when I do that. For such a cheap GPS, it seems worth trying. I hope this continues.
