First of all, the protective layer that protects them from scratches during transport is very difficult to remove. Of all the cases that require assembly that I have purchased, this is the most difficult to prepare for assembly. Once you've cleaned it, assembly is pretty easy. I wouldn't keep reptiles in it as they are quite delicate. But for tarantulas or scorpions etc. they are great! They look lovely, no dead spots, I came back today hoping to buy another one or two but they are out of stock now. I hope it isn't permanent as I would like to relocate some of my tarantulas there.
