I tapped this thing on the sink after use to throw the eyebrow trimmings into the eyebrow trimmer attachment and the attachment fell off and then part of the cutting blade fell off and went straight down the sink drain where I can't get it out. someone who has used several of these exact types of appliances for about 20 years has never fallen apart from a light tap on the porcelain sink. It's been great in terms of cutting, but it's definitely something that's only meant for extremely careful use. Think of it as a thin, fragile piece of glass that does its job well but breaks easily.
