The ball joints are ok, but the installation could be easier if you just replace the whole control arm. Think about it. If the ball joint is bad, the bushings are also worn. And you don't have money for cobalt drills or grinders to cut the rivets. The same applies to the upper ball joint. The upper part costs about $40 for a new control arm. Get rid of the hassle and replace the control levers. Or remove the lower control arm completely from the truck and drill out the rivets. I like to grind the heads first and then drill them.
