I've seen reviews that the bristles have melted. But having seen many reviews claiming that wooden handle brushes are chipped, cracked or completely chipped, I decided to give this one a try and I think I made the right choice. This brush is really effective, it allows you to clean something like fried potatoes with ease. Remember, one of the reasons iron cookware is so popular is to RETAIN HEAT! Do not bring this brush directly to the pan after removing it from the stove! Soak it under cold water, cool the surface a little (don't soak, it's iron), and then use the brush. It works with everything I've thrown at it and still looks brand new. Don't be a fool, use your things as they are meant to be and it will serve you well. Nice brush at a reasonable price.
