I actually stumbled upon a job as a photographer at our local NASCAR track. Such a task requires good equipment to get decent shots, not only of cars driving by at speeds in excess of 100mph, but also in the case of tight targets, overtaking and other things that may require multiple consecutive bursts . Depending on what they're doing on any given night, I can shoot up to 2,000 shots a day, sometimes half of them after sundown. As good as they were, the 900 couldn't even handle the "only" 4fps the camera can achieve regardless of the batteries used. At early season races, I could easily go through a dozen photolithium batteries. At first I had my doubts that using eneloops would improve the charging speed of my Nikon D5100/Nikon SB900 combo: I mean, how can 1.2v batteries last longer and run faster than 1.5v batteries? How wrong was I! It works so well I'm going to buy a second one to use with my latest D7100/SB910 combo! I was afraid it would be of poor quality or cheap and therefore not last long. It turns out my fears have been unfounded so far, it feels solid, doesn't wobble or wobble when attached to the camera's tripod hill, and it literally lets me shoot all night if I have to.
