Not much better than fake
They are the same as the OEM units but they don't seem to work as well as the original manufacturers. I bought the cheap ones, a tier below, and couldn't get the humidity in the room above 30%. You get the number 40%.
- Filter Life --- A evaporative humidifier is only as good as the wick inside. For optimal performance, replace the wick every 1-3 months depending on usage and water hardness.
