time. I used to be encouraged to use 15 minute fast chargers, but over time I realized that doing so causes your batteries to overheat and can shorten their lifespan. I also had an issue with my old charger as it had a unique power cord which I always lost. However, this charger solves the problem by using a standard micro USB charging interface. They also supply a cable, but any micro USB to USB cable will do. I know that if I ever lose this cable I can easily use any of the 10 others I have around the house for various devices. Also, I love charging 8 batteries at once as I always have a few on hand and can easily charge 8 more in 4 hours or less. The LCD interface is a nice step up too, as it shows the battery level and alerts you if problems are found with a specific cell (I think). Anyhow, I encountered no problems the first time I used 8 of their high capacity AA batteries.
