Review on Jinnto Gears STEAM Project Educational by Brandon Barrett

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Difficult to assemble and practically do not work.

The set is disappointing. There is no such thing as an "educational comic”. It's very short and doesn't really teach anything, the only information we got from it was that gears are gears that interact with each other. There is no information on how and why gears are used in the real world. Let's move on to the projects in the kit. Instructions are clear, my 7 year old and 4 year old kids put this together and they didn't need my help with this part. They really needed my help to put all the pieces together. The plastic pins that hold everything together are very, very difficult to insert. It is also difficult to remove the sticker backing from the foam pieces without removing the adhesive with it. After building it doesn't work. With some modifications we got the drawing engine to work basically, but the gear gameplay is terrible. Even with correct assembly, the gears do not spin in most cases. It's frustrating and discouraging, not fun and educational. We have a lot of experience with this kind of kits, little passes and kiwi boxes that make the products so much better.
