I ordered this in concern to get 2 external displays with a single cable socket on a Late 2021 Late 2021 MacBook Pro with M1 Pro processor, with the latest update available in Monterey at the time of writing. Plug and Play worked with an external connection via HDMI and all USB peripherals prior to installing DisplayLink Manager. There was some weird behavior: USB peripherals (keyboard and mouse) didn't light up on the lock screen before login, so pw had to use the laptop mouse and keyboard. I'm a little afraid it won't work for the new M1s. After installing the DisplayLink manager, everything works as expected even on the lock screen. The monitors are connected via an HDMI output and a DVI->HDMI cable. Can both switch to display port as my two external devices support it directly, if I do I'll update this review. This will also charge the MacBook Pro. Everything is connected via USBc/thunderport3 on a MacBook Pro. Also charges any peripherals attached to it through every port I tested (USB-C on the front and two rear USB ports). I will be reviewing the Late 2015 MacBook Pro in any way I can to expand and update this review; Don't expect it to work, but if I can get two screens from a single connection then I'm more than happy with the purchase. My workplace has been greatly improved with the latest equipment.
