If you use them for 2 single beds like me, the safety rails are NOT suitable for beds other than toddlers (if you only use one). If you use both rails for the same bed, you will get 2 rails. According to the description it is for a bunk bed but the fastening straps are not wide enough from one side of the bed to the other. I made this for my granddaughters new twin beds using zip ties. Using the stabilizers alone wouldn't be very strong and I could foresee that my granddaughters would constantly be pushing the safety rails out the side of the bed so it was extremely important that the straps run the full width of the double bed. for the safety of every child. However, I like the look and general purpose of the safety rails, although I have to set them up to "work". The mattress I bought was 8 inches and the rail height is decent.
