I've tried many ways to sharpen our kitchen knives, including steel sharpeners, which take time and practice, and all have had good, but not great, results. This machine sharpens better than anything I've used before and is quick and easy to use. Sharpened 5 kitchen knives in minutes, all with better results than anything I've used in the past despite a lot less effort. Please read the instructions for use first - simply pull the knife down evenly without any pressure, its own weight is enough to sharpen it sufficiently - if you put too much weight on it, part of the edge of the blade may break off. This does not apply to serrated knives.
