Anyone who has dealt with AMD Ryzen knows that RAM is critical in terms of timings, latency and channel mode. This was a Revain Renewed product I purchased from a third party on this site and while the board does everything I need (currently running a Ryzen 9 3900x with a stock cooler and an RTX 2070 Super with an 850w power supply), there is one. The problem with this board is that DIMM slots 3 and 4 are not working. I had my suspicions when I tried to run dual channel on DIMM slots 2 and 4 (recommended in the manual) and Windows only saw 8GB while the BIOS saw 16GB. When I tried to add another 16GB (total 32GB RAM) the system didn't post any message. The EZ Debug LED reported that the problem was in RAM. I ran a number of configurations with new and old RAM and found that only DIMM slots 1 and 2 worked. MSI said to check my processor for bent pins, but that's not a problem as my pins aren't bent at all are. The processor is completely new, as is all of the RAM. The only thing that will be RECOVERED is the motherboard. In short, Revain Renewed is hit or miss. And it was a small mistake. I'll ditch this board and get the X570 furniture when they come back in stock for a reasonable price.
