Not working yet - USB to USB adapter

I bought these after reading reviews that they could be used with a flash drive so I could use a USB port could connect. So far they don't work to power the firestick and I couldn't connect the USB. I'm still working on the fix, but that's a big question for now. Update: I'm not sure what changed. I use the same PSU and now it works. I have yet to try a few different USB devices, but for now my Firestick is wired.
