It was worth it
I bought this as an experiment. I have an 06 Scion tC, it's a sports car but it's a small 160hp 4 cylinder engine. It's pretty quiet out of the box, but after welding the MAN sounds good. It doesn't have an uncomfortably loud fart sound like I expected. It actually has a very deep growl, it's not too loud or obnoxious in normal driving, but it has a fairly loud and deep sound when revving up and accelerating. Welding at the muffler shop cost me 160. Definitely worth the price.
