This was the perfect aftermarket muffler for my 1999 Honda Civic! It added the right look to the back since it is stainless steel. It also ensures the perfect sound when starting and accelerating. My car doesn't have too much hum or tinny, and it's pretty quiet at idle. It's not uncomfortable when cruising the freeway. In other words, it's right! I also got mine from the Revain used list and it came practically brand new in the box. Thank you DC! Good product

I bought this as an experiment. I have an 06 Scion tC, it's a sports car but it's a small 160hp 4 cylinder engine. It's pretty quiet out of the box, but after welding the MAN sounds good. It doesn't have an uncomfortably loud fart sound like I expected. It actually has a very deep growl, it's not too loud or obnoxious in normal driving, but it has a fairly loud and deep sound when revving up and accelerating. Welding at the muffler shop cost me 160. Definitely worth the price.

Just installed on all my inventory (except K&N CAI) 2003 Subaru Legacy 2.5L with 2.25 post resonator pipes and welded on. Sounds amazing. Legacy are usually completely silent cars with a very crappy engine sound. This silencer completely changed it. The sound is deep, no rice at all. I had the same question as all of you. how loud is it Mixed reviews say it's too loud, while others say it's not. I will tell you because I took a risk and installed it. It's NOT too loud. Just perfect! If you keep your stock resuscitator and replace the silencer with this DC silencer you should be fine. Now if you remove your resuscitation bag and then get that DC silencer, I'm sure it's going to be loud. If you want something nice, not loud, but with a deep, noticeable sound, go for it…

I had it installed at a shop. I left the resonator on and everything else stock. The muffler idles deep and makes a slight rumble when cruising around 2000 rpm. It's not the best sound (the machine is automatic), but it's also not your typical fart that can sound. The volume is not unpleasant, but creates a pleasant echo when driving through the tunnels. Bought as a 1:1 replacement for the DC sport muffler that was on my car before I bought it (the previous owner modified it many times before taking it to a car dealer was sold). It was the closest thing to an old (discontinued) model that was rusting, so I bought it hoping it would fit. The dealership guys welded it on for me and it fit perfectly, no clamps or adapters required. Sounds great, no real rumble on the freeway and I'm sure my neighbor is glad they don't have to hear that old muffler
