Although this item is not an elegant solution, it works. If anything, this device is scalable, with lots of Velcro. The rubber grips provide enough friction to keep the flashlight in place. I've used it on lights as small as 1" in diameter, two 1" lights side by side, and a 2" flashlight. I usually wear it over a glove, which is probably a good thing. All that velcro would most likely rub holes in your skin. I have medium sized (female) hands and without gloves I would probably have a hard time making them small/tight enough to be stable. Without gloves. A better strap solution than just Velcro strips would give this item 5 stars.
